tracker6. it's going to be gorgeous and we'll be dry. currently we're tracking showers. you can see near harrisburg and up near west of pottsville we've got some heavier showers inn and a couple of spotty sprinkles near wilmington riding along up i-95 so we may see a couple of spotty showers, not a lot of precipitation. it will be very early this morning and lots of clouds and then they'll break for some sunshine and we're really going to have temperatures get off to the races. satellite6 and action radar kind of showing those showers moving through in motion. this is a very weak disturbance that's coming through our area its not going to be a major impact for us. how about these numbers right now. yesterday we were in the 20's in some spots if you remember. it's 50 in quakertown, 49 in warrington, 47 degrees in center city and the suburbs in new jersey, 38 in browns mills and ewing but 46 in glassboro. 48 degrees in dover delaware. today's high 71 degrees actually which will be more than 20 degrees above the average high for this date so

71 for your high. after a spotty shower lots of clouds break for some sunshine this afternoon and get out there and enjoy that 71, matt p. we'll talk about where numbers go from here coming up in a few minutes. >> temperatures off to the races. i like to hear that. good morning to you karen. good morning, everybody. hopefully nobody is off to the races this morning. let's keep those speeds down on the roads although the weather is cooperating, everything is dry and we're pretty much problem free on most of the highways this is 95 by business route one in bucks county. no construction in either direction. the traffic both ways is moving just fine. as is traffic on the vine street expressway. overnight it remained opened. those overnight closures return tomorrow night, wednesday night around 11 o'clock. so, warning on that but for now everything is good to go on the vine. still have that disabled vehicle. it was out there yesterday morning,, too on the ramp from the roosevelt boulevard southbound to the schuylkill westbound. it's off to the side but police are out there once again this morning to let you know that it's there so that if you round to corner too quickly you don't hit.

the burlington bristol bridge we had maintenance work as promised overnight. one lane of alternating traffic was getting by. those crews have packed up and gone home. do not fear they'll return tonight at 9 o'clock. tam. >> thank you, matt. new jersey state police are anxious this morning, they're worried about one of their own, a trooper hit by a car on i-295. let's go over to annie mccormick live outside cooper university hospital with new details confirmed overnight. good morning, annie. >> reporter: good morning, tam. this all happened last night and i can tell you overnight they have seen new jersey state police troopers and also other members of new jersey state police going in and out of the hospital along with members of local law enforcement agencies from the south jersey area. but new jersey state police are saying little at this hour. they will tell us that that trooper is in serious condition. >> we have reports of a trooper that was struck by a vehicle. >> reporter: the emergency calls began flooding dispatch after a new jersey state trooper was hit by a vehicle

while responding to a car fire. >> trooper is down. got a trooper down. >> reporter: monday night this all unfolded around 8:00 p.m. at 295 southbound between exit 24a and route 130 in west deptford. the trooper was so seriously injured a medical helicopter had to be dispatched to transport him to cooper medical center. minutes after that dramatic radio call officers at the scene gave an update on the trooper. >> still breathing. >> reporter: since the freezing rain's arrival at cooper hospital there's been a flood of support from his own brothers and sisters in blue and area law enforcement agencies and first responders. and new jersey state police have not released the name of the trooper. we do know that that trooper has worked out of the bellmawr barracks for the past year. now, there were two civilians that were also hurt. we do not have a condition on those civilians. however, we are told both of them are women and they were

taken to area hospitals. for now reporting live in camden, annie mccormick, channel6 "action news. >> okay, annie, thank you for the update. and developing this morning, take a look at this dramatic video coming in overnight of a commuter train derailed into water in central california. crews had to fight the currents to get more than 200 passengers out to safety. nine people are injured, four of them seriously. authorities say the train hit a tree before going off its tracks. the train was head from silicon valley to stockton. heavy rain was coming down at the time of the derailment. at this moment the official cause of this derailment is still not known. the investigation is going on right now in california. >> a woman and her two children were injured when a tow truck hit them as they crossed a north philadelphia intersection. we've highlighted the women and children -- the woman and children just before they were struck at b and ontario streets. police say it appears the tow truck driver had a green light

on b street as the 24-year-old woman tried to cross with her four-year-old and one-year-old. it is unclear if either the woman or the tow truck driver saw either. the accident left neighbors rattled. >> i cried. i didn't even know what to do because earlier i was walking with a friend and my son and i thought like wow that could even be me. >> a passerby rushed the children to the hospital while the driver remained on the scene waiting for police and medic. the woman and one of the children are in critical condition. the other child is in stable. >> the latest now on the race for president. four states are holding primaries with caucuses today. michigan is the big prize with 147 delegates up for grabs for democrats, 59 in play for republicans. looking like it will be another romp for the front runners. abc's stephanie ramos has more. >> reporter: time for another faceoff at the polls in battleground states. >> thank you. wow, i am so happy to be here. >> reporter: hillary clinton

at a rallyly in detroit michigan telling them she wants to be their small business president but she needs their votes. >> the sooner i could become your nominee the more i could begin to turn our attention to the republicans. >> reporter: clinton feeling confident looking beyond bernie sanders and even thinking about how he can help her. >> i would hope to be able to enlist bernie in health me reach out to his supporters if i am so fortunate enough to be the nominee. >> reporter: but sanders is not going anywhere. >> if there is a large voter turnout, we will win. support for him as the gop rival hangs on his heels in the same state. >> men and women here and across the state are in the position to decide this outcome. >> reporter: senator ted cruz scoring wins on saturday in kansas and maine but competing hard in michigan and mississippi where he and john kasich expect to do well: as for marco rubio he's still struggling a bit only winning two out of the 20 contests so far but says he's staying in this race despite calls from trump to drop out. stephanie ramos, abc news, washington. >> the eagles are once again shaking up the team in the off season the birds have reportedly traded three chip kelly acquisitions. "action news" has confirmed that one of them is running back demarco murray. he is being sent to tennessee. cornerback byron maxwell whom the eagles signed from seattle is also on his way out headed to miami along with linebacker kiko alonzo. all three players struggled in their only season in philadelphia. details of the trades will be official announced when free

something showers especially in our western suburbs. as you go in a little closer to that, i put this in motion with our street level view inform lancaster you're getting some of those showers that are picking up a little bit and that will head towards coatesville and maryland. on your morning commute a spotty shower coming your way. other than that the rest of the day will be drive. let's go on outside we want to see what it looks like right now. sky6 looking live over the commodore barry bridge. we're live in chester. we do have lots of clouds up above. so you want to watch for that as you're heading out. otherwise, though, it's going to be a pretty good day once these clouds and showers break through. let's look at the temperatures. it's already 47 degrees right now. remember yesterday morning we were in the 20's in some spots, so this is good. and the dewpoint 37 degrees. the atmosphere starting to moisten up a little bit. that will happen more so over the coming hours the the pressure 30.11. held ing steady t the winds westerly at 3 miles an hour lighter than yesterday. with coo you have a gusty breeze at times. visibility not an issue.

satellite6 and action radar tracking showers moving through pittsburgh head to our region. this is not going to be a big impact on us but we're watching for the roads to get a little bit wet during your morning commute. as we look at future tracker6 we can advance this a little bit and see at 6:30 in the morning we're kind of stuck in the clouds starting you off but no worries for the afternoon. we see some sunshine mixing with the clouds and it will be a nice one and certainly warm. we're looking at temperatures about 21 degrees above average. huge for this time of year. that's thanks to this area of high pressure kind of acting like a heat pump, the flow around that out of the southwest and really going to allow those temperatures to turn above average and it turns brighter this afternoon as well so go ahead and make those plans for outside today and add tomorrow to. mostly sunny skies, record warmth. look at the highs. 78 degrees on wednesday. highs that we would normally see at the end of may we're enjoying in march. just a little gift i'm here to give you this hour in the morning.

"good morning america" will have more on this story at 7:00 a.m. erin andrews will be compensated for being the victim of a video peeping tom incident posted online. a jury in tennessee ruled she would receive 55 million dodges most of the money would come from the stalker who took the video at a nashville marriott without her consent. the hotel will also have to pay parter that of jury award. andrews was seeking $75 million. ly lawyers for the hotel management company say they are considering filing an appeal. >> time now for the first look at business. facebook wants to start live streaming thursday night football. variety reports it has put in a bid to stream those game. amazon and verizon also are bidding for those rights. the major stock indices were mixed yesterday. the dow did gain 67 points. this morning futures are looking at a lower open. jetblue starting a new program to train people with no experience, catch me f-on how to fly passenger jets. the airline is taking

>> ♪ >> look, okay for now. at this point roads are dry as we kick off this tuesday morning. we look live at the schuylkill expressway which did not behave yesterday morning. we had that bad accident here in the eastbound lanes past montgomery drive. nothing like that this morning. nice and clear. no construction as you head in toward center city. on the big picture if you're headed toward the schuylkill from the roosevelt boulevard southbound watch out. still have that disabled vehicle have yesterday on the ramp from one southbound to 76 westbound. and on 676 southbound in camden approaching collings avenue we're getting word of a crash. we'll keep you posted on that. and of course all the overnight construction fair that we usually have like here on the northeast extension southbound between lansdale and mid-county they're blocking a couple lanes for

road work. over in new jersey on the new jersey turnpike northbound inner drive is blocked until 5 o'clock. we'll see if they clear out on time. that's for a long stretch as you head up north and in willingboro -- by the burger king watch out for construction in the right lane along 130 northbound at levitt parkway. that, too, is scheduled to clear in just about 10 minutes. tam. >> okay, thank you, matt. from our delaware news room now, wilmington police are trying to solve the second murder on a same city block in just days. a 23-year-old man was shot to death on the 1200 block of west seventh street last night. the shooting happened after a vigil for friday's victim on this very same block. police are now offering $10,000 in rewards for tips that solve both of these murders. and philadelphia police are still looking for the gunman who shot a fast food worker. police released the surveillance video of the man who they say opened fire on sunday. it happened at a church's chicken in the 3600 block of north broad street. the suspect allegedly got into

an argument with an employee who was cleaning tables. investigator also say the suspect left and then came back with a gun and fired three shots hitting 19-year-old josiah myers. myers is expected to survive. >> israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu. the white house offered to meet on one of those days later this month and was surprised to learn through secondhand media reports that the prime minister wasn't coming at the all. there have been ongoing tensions between the u.s. and its closest mideast ally since agreeing to a nuclear deal with iron. two firefighters in virginia who were suspended for treating a little girl for a seizure are back on the job. now we told you about their suspension yesterday morning. the girl was losing oxygen to her brain. knowing that the firefighters didn't wait for a medic. they were suspended because the fire truck that they used to transport the girl to the hospital doesn't have proper medical tools or proper

>> thousands of bees swarmed a jackknifed tractor-trailer in tennessee. bee keepers were called in to subdue the insects so medics could get to the trapped driver. the truck was hauling 450 hives. each one may have contained up to 60,000 bees. emergency crews eventually got the driver to the hospital and they also cleaned up a fuel spill at the scene. >> a dad saved his son from that a flying baseball bat coming right toward his head. you can see just how close it came to hitting eight-year-old landon in the face. he was texting pictures of the pirates-braves game to his mom and sister and didn't even realize he was in danger. a pittsburgh sports photographer caught the split second reaction by the dad. dad says his wrist hurts and the bat did hit landon in the shoulder but both are fine. they even got to keep the bat. an illinois police department released this bizarre picture hoping to deter people from drinking and driving. it is a car with a 15-foot tree as you see there lodged
